To open documents and files of different formats you need different software’s installed on your system, but incase your using your office laptop or desktop and are not allowed to install new software and are allowed to use Firefox as your browser,the you can use Open IT Online browser addon which allows you to open your documents and images online without the need of any software to be installed.

Open IT Online supports Google Docs, Google Apps, Zoho, ThinkFree and Vuzit online services. It handles the following file formats

• Documents (*.doc, *.docx, *.rtf, *.odt, *.sxw)
• Spreadsheets (*.xls, *.xlsx, *.csv, *.ods, *.sxc)
• Presentations (*.ppt, *.pptx, *.pps, *.odp, *.sxi)
• Images (*.jpg, *.gif, *.png)

When Firefox encounters one of the file types supported by Open IT Online, it shows the “Open With” dialog with the file size and the drop down of services to choose from using which the file should be opened with.

When you rightclick on a image you can edit the image online using either Snipshot,Picnik,Pixlr and Bilder editieren.It supports JPG, PNG and GIF formats.

Incase your browser is not supported you can also use View Docs Online where you can upload or give the URL of the file document to be opened.It supports Microsoft Word® Document, Microsoft Excel® Spreadsheet,
Microsoft Powerpoint® Presentation, Adobe® PDF formats.

   • Choose the Drive Letter, that assigned to the PenDrive ( Check In My Computer for the Drive Letter ) and choose it from the dropdown menu.
   • Click “Create Key”.
   • Click “OK”
